Hackney & Leigh Pool Players

This season we will have a pool of players just for Hackney & Leigh games. Unlike League Games there will be no restrictions on where you may bat, bowl or use these players (apart from keeping within the rules of the cup)

So do you play in Div 3 & 4 and fancy a game against 1st Div opposition? Do you know you will not be playing for your own Club in the H&L?

General rules for pool players below

There will be a pool of players who are willing to play H&L games
Up to 4 H&L pool players may be used by a team in a game.
Anyone not playing for their own Club’s teams’ in the H&L shall be eligible to be in the pool.
If a Club has more than one side in the competition only the lowest division team may use pool players
No team that finished the previous season in top 6 of Division 1 may use pool players unless they do not have an A team
There shall be no restrictions on batting bowling or keeping for pool players other than specified in 6 and 7 above
Once a pool player has played for a team twice, that is the only team they can play for
Once a pool player plays for their home club, after having
played for another club, they come off the pool.
If ANY pool player is part of a losing side they then cannot play again in the competition including for their Home Club. The only exception is a loss in the 1st round where not all teams are playing.
Players must request to be put on the pool at least 24 hours before each round and will be available for selection by any club if they are not selected by their Home club.
Once selected, a Home Club cannot call them
back any less than 48 hours prior to the match
Clubs wishing you use a pool player may contact the player directly how ever must then notify the eligibility Chairman of the selection.
