2021 season

Arrangements for cricket at Stage 2

We are delighted that the season starts tomorrow (April 17th). We are still playing with restrictions as we edge towards greater normality .Unfortunately at Stage 2 of the return to cricket, spectators are not allowed under Government rules.

However, the Government has said that hospitality at sports clubs can reopen at the same time as matches are being played and that a person should not be classed as a spectator if they are accessing the hospitality even if within the line of sight of the pitch. Hospitality in sports clubs must be run in accordance with the government's guidance on hospitality including ensuring it is only table service which is provided.

Anybody planning to travel to a game who is not a player, official or parent of an under 18 year old player should check with the home club whether they will be providing hospitality. Some clubs have advised us that they will be doing and others that they won’t.

STAY SAFE AND ENJOY YOUR CRICKET!
