2. With the deferment of the ending of coronavirus restrictions, cricket remains at Stage 3. Dressing rooms may be used subject to risk assessments and with designated social distancing.

Clubs are also reminded to ensure their Risk Assessments are updated if necessary, and be dated and available for inspection if required.

3. We are asking for interest from clubs in hosting the Divisional Cup Finals on 8th, 15th and 22nd August (the reserve date for the Division 1,2 and 3 finals is 22nd August). Clubs will need to provide a bar and, subject to the COVID rules at the time, an outdoor food facility such as a barbecue or the excellent pizza van Bare arranged last season. Can clubs who would like to host let me know by 30 June. The 8th is just the Division 1 final (time to be confirmed) although there is a possibility of another game before the Hackney and Leigh), 15th August is a double-header (Divisions 2 and 3) and a standalone final for Division 4 on 22 August.

The Hackney and Leigh semifinals will be played at Burneside on 11 July:

Trimpell v Burneside

Shireshead v Carnforth

5. There is still time for to apply for financial support from the ECB’s #Funds4Runs initiative.

Expanding All Stars Cricket, Dynamos Cricket and increasing Women & Girls participation are key aims and affiliated cricket clubs can apply for funding to provide subsidised places to local children. Up to £3,000 is available for each project.

The Lancashire Cricket Foundation believes priority should be given to those clubs in areas of high deprivation, where the cost of participation is a real barrier to children and families. In order to introduce as many boys and girls as possible to the game of cricket, projects focussing on growing All Stars, Dynamos and Women & Girls programmes are more likely to be successful compared to those requesting funding to cover coaching costs or facility hire.

The scheme closes on 30 September 2021 (or when the fund runs out, whichever is earlier) with all projects needed to be completed by 30 November 2021.

Interested clubs can download and fill out the Expression of Interest (EOI) form from www.ecb.co.uk/funds4runs and completed Expressions of Interest should be returned to the ECB via email toFunds4Runs@ecb.co.uk

Would you like to work in Cricket for Lancashire Cricket Foundation…?
Lancashire Cricket Foundation is excited to announce the launch of their new Apprenticeship Programme for 2021 and would like to hear from any young people with a passion for Cricket who would like to join our team of coaches out in the community and inspire the next generation of children to love our wonderful game of Cricket.

The programme will also include opportunities to gain experience of the wide range of projects the Foundation is engaged with, as well as being part of the Activation team on match days at Emirates Old Trafford.

So, if you love Cricket and want to make a positive difference to the lives of people in our region then please go to our websitewww.lancashirecricket.co.uk/foundation and read the FAQs for further information beforedownloading an application form.
