Saturday 4 March

Jon Bushell will captain's Burneside re-formed third team.

At Sedgwick, Adam Kershaw is the new captain of the second team replacing long-serving Iain Whitehead, while Brad Brentnall has taken over the third team captaincy from Hrishi Desiai.

Graham Wilcox will captain Ulverston 3rds in their second season in the Westmorland League.
Thursday 16 February

Netherfield 4s have appointed Alistair Reeves as their new captain. Steve Wilson remains captain of the third team.

David McGonnigal is to captain Ingleton’s second team while Luke Gorst remains captain of the first team.

The following clubs have started their indoor nets sessions:

Bare are training at Carnforth High every Sunday from 8-9pm apart from 5th March when it’s 10-11am. The cost is £3 per session.

Coniston are training at Millom Recreational Centre between 9:45 and 11:45am on Sundays and on March 5th this changes to 11-1pm. The cost is £5 per session.

Heysham Cricket Club are training every Sunday at Lancaster Royal Grammar School between 8 and 9pm.

Cartmel start their nets sessions on 1st March for 6 weeks between 6 and 8pm at Heversham Sports Hall.

Sunday 5 February 2023

Shireshead have announced their captains for the 2023 season. Dave Jack takes over from Tom Jacques as the first team captain while Mike Mead remains the second team captain. Paul Coulton takes over from Jonty Collinson as third team captain, with Collinson becoming the captain of the new fourth team. Amy Creed is the ladies captain.

Burneside have also announced their captains. Ben Leacock remains first team captain, with Mark Ward as second team captain. Jon Bushell becomes the captain of the brand new third team. Indoor nets have begun and will take place every Sunday at Casterton School from 6-7pm.

Heysham Cricket Club's winter nets will start on Sunday 12 February for nine consecutive weeks at Lancaster Royal Grammar School Sports Hall between 8pm and 9pm.

Chris Beckwith will captain Appleby with Eden 3rd XI in their first season in the Westmorland League since the 1960s.

James Lambert is to be the captain of Morecambe 2nds this season while at Milnthorpe, Andy Cormack will captain the first team and Bob Baldwin the second team.

Westgate CC will commence pre-season indoor nets every Wednesday between February 15th and March 29th at Carnforth High School from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. All newcomers of any age are welcome to attend. If you need further information contact secretary Chris Hill on 07799892217 or chilly3@live.co.uk.

Sedgwick CC have started indoor nets and they take place at Dallam School between 7pm and 9pm every Thursday. The club is also planning to run both All Stars and Dynamos in 2023.

Two clubs have got new captains for the 2023 season. In Division 1, Lewis Plackett is the new Heysham captain replacing Damion Keegan and in Division 2, Rob Warne is the new Coniston captain.
