Statement about Trimpell CC

By Tim Mansfield

First team to withdraw from Division 1 with immediate effect

Following a club meeting, Trimpell CC has decided that it is not possible for it to fulfil its fixtures in Division 1, and is withdrawing the first team from the League with immediate effect. This means that all future fixtures involving Trimpell CC in Division 1 are cancelled. The League Management Committee has held an emergency meeting and has decided that all games involving Trimpell first team in Division 1 are null and void. We will need to make manual adjustment to the League table so that performances against Trimpell can still count towards the League averages, but all points gained against Trimpell will be removed. This will take a few days.

The Management Committee deeply regrets that this has happened and is sorry that this means that other teams in the Division will have a Saturday(s) without cricket.

Trimpell will continue to field a team in Division 3 and expects to be able to fulfil these fixtures. It is understood that some of its recognised first team players will transfer to other clubs.
